Best Bookish Bits of April 2018

This year is passing too quickly! It is already the fifth month of 2018 and I am so not ready!

The book I read during April were:

  • Heir of Ashes by Jina Bazzar
  • The Curse by Jina Bazzar
  • The Boy From Tomorrow by Camille De Angelis
  • Everless by Sarah Holland
  • Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
  • Final Draft by Riley Redgate

This was not my best reading month but I blame work and university being crazy. However, I did reach a milestone. I have now read 30 books this year! I am actually really proud of myself for this as last year I was only reading approximately 1 and a half book a fortnight and so far this year I am averaging 3 and a half books a fortnight! An improvement I am very proud of!

While I did not read as many books as I had hoped to in April, I did get a bookish purchase and ordered a few books! Yes, that is right, I bought books! I admit, I had a book voucher to use so I technically only spent $5, but the books I bought were Simon vs the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli, Norse Mythology by Neil Gaiman and Begone the Raggedy Witches by Celine Kiernan. The first two have been books I have wanted to read for a while and the last one is a new release that sounds rather interesting to me. I am hoping to read these over the next few months!

As for merch, I got some amazing candles and beautiful bookmarks from Bookish Intoxication. I encourage you to check out her store and I definitely recommend her Hedwig candle and The Sorting Hat candle, though all the candles I have from this shop smelled wonderful!

What was your best bookish bit of April?
Let me know in the comment section!

Until next time bibliophiles!
