Top 3 Thursday‘s theme this week puzzled me. Book titles are not a topic I have ever thought to consider for a top-three list. I like so many books for their cover, synopsis, the main character, supporting character(s), plotline, writing style, etc. but I have never considered which ones I first liked for their title.
After serious thought (I have been working on this list for a week!) I have managed to work out my top three books I purchased based on the title.
The Night Rainbow
by Claire King
I have had this book for a while now, I still have not read it and I still cannot remember what it is about without picking it up and reading the back of it. It was the title that drew me in and, had the title not sounded so pretty, I would probably have not given it a second glance.
City of Ghosts
by Victoria Schwab
I did not need to read the synopsis. I knew I would be buying this and, unlike a few people I know, it was not because it was Schwab. I love stories about ghosts but I rarely come across them, so the cover could have been terrible and the synopsis crap, but I still would have bought it.
by Tracy Rees
About three ago, I ordered this book because of the title. My name is Amy and I was born in winter; it felt like fate! It is a historical fiction, which I had not read much of before, and it sparked my love for the genre, so maybe it was fate after all.
What is a book you purchased for the title?
