My Zany Bookshelf

My Zany Bookshelf: Reading Update

I have been a little absent from the blog so far this year. Somehow not having uni taking up my time has lead to me being less productive in my spare time. Oops!

However, I have most certainly been reading! Once I find the time/productivity to type up my reviews you are going to be bombarded.

For now, however, I am here to update you on my recent and current reads, what is next on the TBR!

What have I just read?
I have most recently finished a couple graphic novels. Heartstopper Vol 3 by Alice Oseman and Pumpkin Heads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks. I love graphic novels when my head is not in the mood for something text heavy but I still want a story and both of these were nice reads and exactly what I needed.

What am I currently reading?
I have been slowly making my way through North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell and have also picked up The Flatshare by Beth O’Leary. I love the BBC Classic Mini-Series of North and South so I decided to give the book a go but it is very slow with little dialogue. The Flatshare is not quite what I was expecting but, once it got past the first dozen chapters, I am enjoying where the story seems to be going.

What do I plan to read next?
Well, as some of you may know I am terrible at predicting what book will come next because I am such a mood reader, but I have a few ARCs that are high on the list. I also have a growing list of people telling me to finish the LotR series, so it may be time to head back to Middle-Earth!

Talk to me!
What books have you been enjoying lately?

Until next time bibliophiles!
